Alpine Auto Body opened in 1978 with their Orchards location by well known community leader Rod Cook. Cook’s mission was to service SW Washington with honest, high quality collision repair. Alpine grew to three locations by early 2000s, adding one location on Mill Plain and the other in Hazeldell off highway 99. Together, the three locations worked to be Vancouver’s leading choice for collision and automotive repair. Jim McCoy joined the Alpine family in 1999 and oversaw all three locations as the general manager; by then the Alpine name had acquired a fantastic reputation and community awareness. Jim continued to implement innovative technology and standards to the repair process and stay current with them in an industry that is constantly evolving with new technology and procedures.
In 2014, after many years of service, a larger auto collision repair company, Kadels purchased the business and Alpine Auto Body disbanded.
In 2021, the McCoy family acquired the Alpine name once again and brought it back to its former glory operating out of their new location in Hazel Dell, Washington. Alpine specializes in collision repair work, as well as automotive repair from brakes & oil changes to full engine replacements and everything in between. With reviving the Alpine name, the McCoy family has also brought back original team members as well as the same honest and quality repairs that the community came to know and love. They are proud to be a local, family owned shop. It is an honor to continue serving returning Alpine Collision & Auto Repair customers, as well as meeting and exceeding the expectations of new customers.
